Classroom Music
Either of the two classes below meet the music/art requirement for graduation. Bach to Rock is intended for the music enthusiast who enjoys music, but is not necessarily interested in performing in band or choir. Music Theory I & II are intended for the serious music student who either wants to learn more about how music is organized for the fun of it, to assist in composing their own music, or in preparation for music study at the college level.
Bach to Rock
This class covers a wide variety of topics including music criticism and analysis, popular musical styles, computer music composition, multi-cultural music, music history, radio stations, piano/keyboard skills, music careers, music in theater, and music and technology. It is a project based course that can cover the state and national standards for the arts in music in a variety of ways, and thus the subject matter can be adapted to the special interests of each year's class.

Music Theory I & II
Music Theory is a college-level course that covers both the written and aural elements of music analysis. This is intended for serious music students who can read music and find their way around a piano keyboard. Students who complete both years have the option to take the AP Music Theory Exam after the second year if they choose.
